Stone Bridge Farm offers unique equine opportunities in Southwest Virginia (09/19/08)

Nestled against the Blue Ridge Mountains and a stone’s throw from the interstate, sits the equine enthusiast’s treasure, Stone Bridge Farm.  Stone Bridge offers the highest quality services, facilities and management in the hunter-jumper world and has the distinction of being the only such farm in southwest Virginia.

Owner, Katrina Weinig, said, “The goal of Stone Bridge Farm is to fill the barn with boarders who have a continuing interest in learning about riding and horsemanship as they apply to the hunter-jumper industry.  Everyone can set and pursue equestrian goals.” Stone Bridge Farm offers a friendly and supportive environment to assist in meeting those goals.

Lessons and training are offered by six staff members, including professional hunter-jumper trainers with demonstrated success at the national, state and collegiate level. “Stone Bridge Farm is horsemanship at its finest. Stone Bridge offers instruction at its best with boarding and care facilities that cannot be beat,” said Carolyn Williams, Southern States Equine Rep.

Stone Bridge Farm’s state of the art facilities include a large indoor arena, 3 outdoor rings, 32 large stalls in the main barn, wash racks, boarders’ tack room and lounge, 18 watered pastures and over 120 acres of cross-country and trail riding. Five on-site SWVHJA/VHSA sanctioned hunter-jumper shows are held on-site annually.

After moving to Virginia four years ago, owner Katrina Weinig asked respected equine professionals for horse feed recommendations, along with conducting her own research on feed ingredients. “All the professionals that I respected were using Southern States feed, so it just made sense for us to choose Southern States feed products,” Weinig said.

Weinig continued, “We exclusively use Southern States feed products and we always consult Carolyn Williams, Southern States Equine Rep when we evaluate a horse’s nutritional needs.”

“Equine boarders at Stone Bridge Farm can rest assured that their horse is receiving top-notch care as well as an excellent line equine feeding program,” Williams said.
