When and where to plant: Plant in late spring after the last frost in full sun or light shade. Soil should be warm and enriched with organic matter. Keep moist.
Care: Pinch off all but one or two pumpkins per vine for larger fruit. Pumpkins grow approximately 8-10 inches in diameter and can weigh up to 12 pounds. Once shell is hard, cut from vine leaving a 3 inch stem.
Harvesting: Pick regularly when pods are 4-6 in / 10-15 cm., before sides bulge.
