Donna Ruthe from Ships Quarter Farm in MD sent us this picture of Von Intellito, whose barn name is Von. Von is a 21-yr-old Hanovarian who competes in upper level Dressage. When he was 18, he suffered a serious injury resulting in a hole forming in a tendon in one of his legs. When the vet did an ultrasound of the injury on Von, the news wasn’t very good. Von wasn’t ever going to be pasture-sound. He was scheduled to be euthanized but the day before he was to be put down, Donna took him out for one last walk. While on his walk, he spooked at something causing his entire body to jolt. After the spooking, Von trotted off perfectly sound. The vets told Donna not to get her hopes up. They thought the soundness was a result of all the anti-inflammatory medicines 
Von was on. Donna felt that this had been some sort of a miracle. She proceeded to take Von off his medications and treatments. To this day he is 100% sound and is back competing in the show ring - and doing great!
Kathy Wenderoth of Fairwinds Equestrian Center in Littlestown, PA sent us this picture of Layla (one month old paint filly) and her buddy Hannah (2 month old Quarter Horse filly). Hannah belongs to Kathy’s daughter, Kory, and Ryan Shultz owns her sire. As Ryan was trying to take a

Check out these mother and daughter Arabian mares, Nicky (left at 31 years young) and Freedom (right at 25 years). Esther Matheny, of Leon, WV, tells us that she has had them all of her life and nothing brings her more joy and pleasure than grooming and riding them.
