Nancy Lease of Fort Ashby, WV had a young super star on her hands with Zips Flashy Leaguer. This palomino Quarter Horse was a regular at the PHBA World Show, and he won many western pleasure titles in his first few years. Due to the heavy training and rigorous show schedule, the colt developed ulcers. The ulcers became so severe that he was taken to an equine hospital where Nancy was told his show days were over and he’s destined for early retirement. The vet recommended that the colt change to Legends® Pelleted feed due to the low starch formula. A diet change was all this horse needed to get him back on the show road. Later that same year, Zips Flashy Leaguer recovered and went on to win the PHBA World Championships. He remains on Legends® and is a happy, healthy and successful six year old!
At Rivermont Farm in Lyerly, GA lives Sultan, a 30+ year-old horse who survived a horrible accident. Last December, Sultan impaled himself on an implement, shattering his jawbone and causing great facial trauma. The vet honestly didn’t think he would make it, mostly because horses with this level of injury usually lose their appetites and basically starve while their bodies are trying to heal. Before the accident Sultan ate Legends® Maturity Pelleted horse feed. Nothing changed after the accident. Sultan never missed a meal, even with a shattered jawbone! The vet called it a miracle.
Please meet Ragan (shown right), a North American Spotted Draft Stallion from Providence Forge, Virginia. He is a multi-talented stud who rides and drives. You should see this big boy go! Ragan’s owner, Terri Aigner, exclusively feeds Legends® Performance and Triple Crown® Grass Forage.
