To Maximize the Health of Your Show Animal:

  • Kevin Ridinger, Club Master Awards Program Participant
    Ridinger Wins Club Master Jacket
Always provide plenty of fresh water
  • Allow animals to exercise daily
  • Control flies
  • Keep pens cleaned
  • Feed at the same time each day; animals are creatures of habit, and variable feeding times can cause bloat and going off feed
  • Do not feed moldy or low quality hay
  • Keep feeders and water units clean
  • Complete vaccination program and deworming
  • Weigh your feed — do not guess, mark the bucket
  • Make feed adjustments gradually over a 7-10 day period

All Southern States Cooperative show rations are based on NRC requirements and CRF research to provide proper nutrition to all classes of livestock. Feeding results are dependent on animal genetics, hay/pasture quality, health of animals, weather conditions and feed management. For assistance, see your local ag extension agent or local Southern States dealer.

Club Master forms are available at your local Southern States dealer.
