Southern States^® Horse Feeds

Dear Horse Owner,

Southern States is excited to announce changes to its horse feed line up. Reliance^® Horse Feed has been revised and Southern States^® Horse Feed will replace it and be available starting February 15th, 2010.

This horse feed will have individual bags for more convenient identification and most will contain added organic selenium. Organic selenium has been shown to have greater absorption by the horse than inorganic selenium sources and can improve reproductive, muscle and immune system function.

The changes are:

1. Reliance Pleasure Textured and Pelleted Horse Feed is now Southern States Reliance Textured and Pelleted Horse Feed and the only formulation change is the addition of organic selenium.
2. Reliance 14 High Fat Pelleted Horse Feed is now Southern States Solution Pelleted Horse Feed, which now contains four organic trace minerals, yeast culture and biotin.
3. Reliance High Fat Textured Horse Feed is now Southern States 14-Six Textured Horse Feed.
4. Reliance Hay Stretcher Horse Feed will be Southern States Hay Stretcher Pelleted Horse Feed with a greater crude fiber guarantee (28%) and added organic selenium.
5. Reliance 14 High Fat Textured Horse Feed, which was only available in a few areas, is now called Southern States 14-Six Textured Horse Feed and will be available at all Southern States retail locations.
6. Reliance All Grain Textured Horse Feed is now Southern States All Grain Textured Horse Feed.
7. Reliance High Fat Textured and Pelleted Horse Feed is now Southern States 11-Six Textured and Pelleted Horse Feed and the only formulation change is added organic selenium.
8. Southern States Triple 10 Textured Horse Feed is a new high fat horse feed soon to be available at all Southern States retail locations.

Southern States Reliance Horse Feed - textured (11% protein, 3.5% fat and 12% fiber) and pelleted (11% protein, 3.5% fat and 15% fiber) formulas for horses with maintenance and light work requirements. Added organic selenium.

Southern States 11-Six Horse Feed - textured (11% protein, 6% fat and 12% fiber) and pelleted (11% protein, 6% fat and 15% fiber) formulas for horses with maintenance and work requirements. Added organic selenium.

Southern States 14-Six Horse Feed – textured formula (14% protein, 6% fat and 12% fiber) for growing, breeding and performance horses. Added organic selenium.

Southern States Solution Horse Feed – pelleted formula (14% protein, 6% fat and 15% fiber) for growing, breeding, older, show and performance horses. Digestible fiber added to provide a low starch level for greater feeding safety. Formulated with added lysine, biotin, yeast culture and four organic trace minerals.

Southern States All Grain Horse Feed - textured formula (11% protein, 3.5% fat and 8% fiber) for horses with maintenance and light work requirements.

Southern States Hay Stretcher Horse Feed - pelleted formula (11% protein, 2.0% fat and 28% fiber) for horses needing additional fiber due to limited availability of hay or pasture. Added organic selenium.

Southern States Triple 10 Horse Feed – textured formula (10% protein, 10% fat and 10% fiber) for mature horses with show and performance requirements. Formulated with added biotin, yeast culture and four organic trace minerals.
