Beets
Back to Vegetable Seed Catalog Index
Timeliness is essential for a good harvest. Sow beets in early spring or late summer. Plant 1/2 inch deep and keep well watered throughout the growing season. Sow beets thickly and then thin the plants several times, once when clusters are established and again when beets are about four inches tall. Allow enough space for each beet plant to have room for its roots.
