Requirements for Private Dealer Program

Interested in becoming a Southern States Independent Dealer? Not everyone can be a Southern States independent dealer. After all, we didn't earn our good name by partnering with anything less than the best. Our feed, seed, crop protectants, services, farm supplies and lawn and garden products are tops in the business. So are our dealers.

In order to be considered for an independent dealership, you'll be required to:

  • Establish a credit line with Southern States
  • Maintain Southern States as your primary supplier
  • Complete the dealer application
  • Sign the dealer agreement
  • Use Southern States interior/exterior signage
  • Attend product shows
  • Attend dealer meetings and applicable training schools
  • Have a fax machine & voice mail
  • Keep a clean and orderly facility
  • Have a minimum potential Southern States volume of $500,000 for a full dealership (options are available for a limited dealership)
  • Participate in Southern States' circular, mailing list and credit card programs
