History
The Flowery Branch feed mill was built in 1957 for the production of full line animal feeds. The feed mill is located in Hall County, Georgia and has approximately 9 acres of land.
We have a total of 27 management and hourly employees. Southern States purchased the plant from Gold Kist on October 13, 1998.

Maximum tonnage capacity is 100,000 tons annually.
Current tonnage ratio is 72% bag and 28% bulk.

Our Liquid feed tonnage is 3,626 tons annually, with 2 trucks delivering.
Transportation Capabilities
We are served by the Norfolk Southern railroad.
We have (5) bulk trucks with (3) bulk trailers and (3) liquid supplement tankers.
UPS/Overnight delivers our bagged feed.

1 Inglett & Company duplex bag line with Fast Trac II controls: Recently installed Columbia Okura Robotic Stacking system.
2 warehouses: feed warehouse is 22,000 square feet (includes bagging and micro additive preparation areas). Detached warehouse is 7,600 square feet (jobbing items and paper supplies).
Process control system is Interstates Control (ICSI) with automated pelleting (3 pellet mills) and all down-streaming routing.
We have over 450 current formulas.
