Park City Feed Mill Fact Sheet
History
The Park City feed mill was built in 1977 replacing the Winchester feed mill, the former Cincinnati Cooperative Mills facility.
The mill is located in Barren County, and has approximately 18 acres. Southern States has an on-going joint business venture at Park City with Westway Trading out of Houston, Texas.
We have a total of (27) team members, (14) production, (3) maintenance, (3) administrative and (7) trucking employees.
Current Business
Maximum tonnage capacity is 100,000 tons annually with current product mix.
Current tonnage ratio is 32% pressed and poured tubs/blocks and 68% bulk.
Annual feed tons per species:
- Beef Feed: 26,737 tons
- Dairy Feed: 20,875 tons
- Horse Feed: 777 tons
- Pet/Rabbit Feed: 168 tons
- Poultry Feed: 20,168 tons
- Specialty Feeds/Goat: 266 tons
- Grains and Ingredients: 326 tons
- Swine Feed: 83 tons
Transportation Capabilities
We are served by the CSX railroad.
We have (5) bulk tractors, (4) bulk straight trucks and (5) bulk feed trailers
TSC Stores pickup most of their product loads. UPS/Overnight handles the balance of the block/tub shipments.

Park City has a Landers press block system and a custom built poured block line. The press block system has product and pallet stretch wrapping and auto tagging. The poured line is automated from fill to stacking. A 3-axis robotic stacker is utilized for the poured blocks.
Warehouse is 22,500 square feet with 8 dock doors.
Process control system is Interstates Control (ICSI) with full automation of mill processes.
We have 480 current formulas.
