Southern States News Siler City Grand Opening Event Summary! (03/13/08)
The weekend was filled with special activities and giveaways for Southern States customers. On Friday, New Direction, a local Bluegrass band, played music and entertained the crowd. On Saturday, the Jordan-Matthews FFA chapter hosted a Carhartt® Cookout fundraiser. Truckload Sales were supported by Tarter, Heritage Safe and the Southern States Feed division. Special grand prizes included a Husqvarna® Trimmer and a Heritage® Safe. Southern States gift cards were also given away every hour of the event. Door prizes for the first one hundred customers each day included free work gloves and garden kneeling pads.

The Siler City, N.C. Service celebrated their newly remodeled store with a Grand Opening event. The ribbon cutting ceremony, held on March 7, included a morning breakfast. Southern States Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Wesley Wright and Board Member Laird Bowman were in attendance.
