Southern States News Christiansburg Grand Opening Event Summary (04/03/08)
The weekend was filled with special activities and giveaways for Southern States customers. The Carhartt #17 Matt Kenseth NASCAR car was on site, along with Tracy Barton, National Cutting Horse Association champion and equine expert. Everyone was able to enjoy a cookout with the proceeds benefiting the Montgomery County 4-H. Children were treated with face painting and balloon creations. Special grand prizes included a Husqvarna trimmer, $250 gift card, and a Heritage Gun Safe. Southern States gift cards were also given away every hour of the event. Door prizes for the first one hundred customers each day included free garden kneeling pads, garden totes and work gloves.

The Christiansburg, Va. store celebrated their newly remodeled store with a Grand Opening event and VIP night. Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Wesley Wright joined other local residents for the ribbon cutting ceremony held on March 26th.
