Manassas Grand Opening Event Summary (04/09/08)
The Manassas, Va., store celebrated their newly remodeled store with a Grand Opening Event and VIP Night. Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Wesley Wright joined other local residents for the ribbon cutting ceremony held on April 3rd.
The weekend was filled with special activities and giveaways for Southern States customers. Master Gardeners of Prince William County were on-site, along with Tommy Garland, 2007 U.S. Arabian National champion and equine expert.
Everyone was able to enjoy a cookout with the proceeds benefiting the Boy Scout Troop #1195. There was also a pet adoption campaign provided by the local Humane Society.
Special grand prizes included a Husqvarna trimmer, $250 Southern States gift card and a Weber Genesis gas grill. Southern States gift cards were also given away every hour of the event. Door prizes for the first one hundred customers each day included free garden kneeling pads, garden totes and flashlights.
