Southern States News SunSouth Partners with Southern States (05/06/08)
Regional Operations Manager David Vines says, “The dual retailing concept is all about bringing world class customer service to our existing patrons and to attract new customers as well.” He goes on to add, “We want to be the best John Deere dealer possible and I think this new concept helps us do that.” Southern States is known as a one-stop-shop for all your farm & home needs so it’s a perfect fit with John Deere equipment. SunSouth’s customers must agree, based on store traffic double last year’s level since the grand opening. Another distinct advantage of the great partnership is Farm Plan credit. Developed for John Deere dealers originally, Farm Plan has been adopted by many retailers, including Southern States, as the primary credit option for their customers. SunSouth customers can use their existing account to purchase any of the new lines of products now available. Southern States Senior Vice President of Sales, Dave Segerson, says, “Southern States is proud to partner with SunSouth and jointly offer the local community of Andalusia the quality brands of both companies.” SunSouth is one of the largest John Deere dealer organizations in the country with 16 existing locations and another one in the works. Andalusia is the first of the 16 to partner with Southern States to add farm supply products. Manager Rob Logan is proud of the new look and the new products and he invites everyone to come see for themselves. The store is located at 16607 on US Highway 84.

Local John Deere dealer steps out with bold new concept. SunSouth of Andalusia recently celebrated a grand reopening with a bold new look and products you don’t expect to see at an equipment dealer. SunSouth is the newest Southern States farm supply dealer in south Alabama now offering a complete line of lawn and garden products (including a nursery), pet food & supplies, feed & animal health products, livestock equipment for cattle and horses and even Carhartt clothing.
