Buy a 4-H Paper Clover at Southern States Co-op Store, Support Local 4-H Youth (09/24/08)
During National 4-H Week and the following week,
Southern States will be selling 4-H Paper Clovers for $1.
The cashier at Southern States may ask you to part with an extra dollar this month. But don’t worry, it’s not inflation on the rise, it’s for a good cause.
Southern States is supporting local 4-H Clubs by selling Paper Clovers for $1. The campaign takes place October 5-19.
“We are proud to partner with Southern States Cooperative and their customers during National 4-H Week and the week after. The 4-H Clover promotion is a great opportunity to highlight 4-H in retail outlets while raising funds for local clubs,” said Donald T. Floyd, Jr., president and CEO of National 4-H Council. “We are grateful for Southern States’ support of 4-H.”
“Southern States is a supporter of 4-H and is proud to be the sponsor of the “4-H Paper Clover Fundraiser,” said Thomas R. Scribner, president and chief executive officer of Southern States. “Southern States knows every dollar collected will benefit 4-H youth across the territory. Southern States has a rich heritage of working with 4-H, and hopes the public will assist with the 4-H Clover Project by supporting the effort and contributing a dollar for a personalized clover.”
After you buy a Clover, you can sign your name on it or even the name of a child you care about. The Clovers are then displayed in the store for all to see. Proceeds from the campaign are split evenly between local 4-H Clubs and National 4-H Council. Locally, the money will be spent on 4-H clubs, camps, as well as in-school or after-school programming.
