Southern States Cooperative announces its partnership with the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Va.  In a collaborative effort to promote and achieve the highest levels of equine health and nutrition, Southern States has teamed with the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, a national leader in veterinary medicine.

“Southern States has a long and distinguished record of quality and service in agriculture and equine health,” said Dr. Mark Crisman, professor and veterinarian for VMRCVM. “Over the years they have been a great friend to Virginia Tech, and our college is very excited about this new partnership.   Their generosity provides us with an important opportunity to provide better service for our clients and helps the college make the most of available resources during a challenging time for the economy and our budget.”

“Southern States is always appreciative of the opportunity to work with institutions of higher learning throughout our operating territory,” said Jim Moore, the cooperative’s vice president for feed.  “Being a Virginia based company, it is particularly rewarding for us to be involved with the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.  Caring for the health and well-being of horses goes hand in hand with our goal of providing the best nutrition possible for horses.  Southern States is proud to collaborate with the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.”
