FFA Paper Emblems

In celebration of FFA paper emblem sales, the Liberty High School FFA will be selling hot dogs, baked goods and emblems at store on March 2, 2013 from 10 am until 2 pm.

Vegetable Seeds

Cole plants, onion slips and seed potatoes are arriving the first week of March.  Store is well stocked with vegetable seeds, organic fertilizers and much more to meet your gardening needs.

Chick Days 

Chicks Days are being held April 8 thru the 13th.  We will have chicks (pullet run), ducklings and turkey chicks.  There will be many breeds to select from.  There will be white and brown egg layers as well as meat birds (straight run on meat birds). Call store for details.

June Horse Workshop 

June 22, 2013 Bedford Coop will hosting a horse workshop and informational meeting at Autumn Hill Farm in Bedford.  Mark your calendar and plan to attend.  More information will be posted here and at the store about this event.

I just wanted to drop you a line for praise for some employees, as well as an independent trucker that the feed division has employed. Tonight at 5:40 pm one of our customers, Marvin Crouch called and reported that he was out of dairy feed.

I called Jeff Key, an independent hauler for the feed mill and he reported that he was empty, but that he would be glad to deliver the feed. “It’s Mr. Crouch’s livelihood, we have to get him feed,” Key said.

At that point, I contacted Roanoke mill superintendent Steve Nichols and told him that Jeff was lined up if they could make the feed. Steve called back after contacting Roanoke mill employee Jimmy Carter and said that the feed would be ready for pick up and delivery by 7:30 pm.

The attitude of all three employees is to be admired by all. They happily went the extra mile after hours and did so with a passion to please the customer.
