Sam (Sammy) Mitchell
Middletown Agronomy

Assistant General Manager – With over 30 years of experience at Southern States, Sammy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to helping his customers become more profitable. He has won a number of company awards, including Service Manager of the Year and President’s Excellence awards. Sammy grew up on a cattle farm and was a member of FFA and the Farm Bureau and enjoys working with younger generation farmers, as he feels they are the future of agriculture.

Brian Schilling
Dagsboro Agronomy

Assistant General Manager – Brian grew up on a dairy farm and graduated from Delaware Valley University with a degree in agronomy. He has been with Southern States for over 34 years and specializes in crops.

Flip Wright
Middletown & Massey Agronomy Centers

Agronomy Sales Manager - Born and raised on a dairy, beef cattle and row crop farm in Delaware, Flip has been with Southern States serving farmers for over 23 years. A double major in General Ag and Ag Education from Delaware State University, Flip was a high school agriculture teacher before joining Southern States in 1995.

He is a Certified Crop Adviser (CCA), Integrated Pest Management (IPM) certified, and certified in creating Delaware and Maryland Nutrient Management plans. He is a recipient of the Distinguish Ag award from the Delaware Department of Agriculture.

Flip specializes in pasture and hay management, corn, soybean and wheat barley.
