A Tradition of Support

Mark Camp

Mark Camp, General Manager Agronomy Operations, Former Member & Avid Supporter of FFA

Many past and current employees of Southern States have been members of local FFA chapters and still today continue community involvement through FFA. Mark Camp, general manager for Southern States in Georgia, participated in FFA at Milton High School in Alpharetta, Georgia and landed a FFA scholarship that helped further his education in agriculture. He continues to be an avid supporter of FFA. Camp has been awarded chapter, state and national FFA honorary degrees.

By supporting FFA, Southern States is enabling students to have the opportunity to become well-rounded citizens, gain leadership skills and explore careers in agriculture. Over the years, SSC has participated in many local and state fund raising events giving back to the community.

Mark states, “FFA has meant so much to me as a student learning skills and deciding a career. As a parent, I have seen firsthand the growth, confidence and team building created in each of my children’s lives. I am still actively involved in FFA as a parent and business leader because I believe in the program. I have witnessed the impact it has. As a member of the Georgia FFA Foundation Board and past chairperson of the Georgia FFA Sponsors Board, it is told over and over again to leaders of industry, to educators, to students - FFA has helped shape their members to be the successful individuals they are today.”
